Board games have massively grown over the years. As a child my memories of playing Monopoly, Checkers, Clue, guess who were, and many others. All the games we could play with family, spend time. Hours of fun was had by all.
My favorite game is a game of Monopoly that give me an overview of real estate (Ironically, I now have a career in real estate). Is this a coincidence or did my childhood obsession with a game of Monopoly by unconscious?
Many Sunday afternoons were playing with my four sisters, or should I say spent rowing on this fabulous game. The first line should normally be about who wants to iron, shoes, etc. on the car (these are items that you have chosen to represent the board you would have had to be played). My favorite has always been the dog!
The next series will be, who went first, then the other would be the role of bankers who play.
Finally, the game would begin, and how much fun we had. Hours and hours of fun each week.
How things have changed? Today, while we still have the old traditional board games, and I think we are much more advanced games, often played on computers or via a DVD player to your TV.
Now you can play a game on your own against a computer (which will act as your opponent) to play with friends and contrast / or family. I think that’s pretty sad to know how much fun we interact with other like children and respect each other as we rowed about these issues of meaning, but important.
Now I see my nephew for hours on their own in front of a computer games without the physical interaction of man, while their parents to other things. I think it’s an advantage if you do not miss a single child in the games do not play just because you did not have another one to play with you. Traditional games such as monopoly is now on a computer and the computer can read your opponent acts. You can even define what the skill level where you want to play.
The disadvantage of this is, I think the family interact with each other and the other always seems to be a thing of the past.
