There are lessons in Them Thar Games!

Who would have ever thought that video games - a form of entertainment - the heads of those who play, could improve! The truth is that among all the cool graphics, fantastic music and fascinating land, educational opportunities abound - and find them, just look a little further.

1. Video games improve strategic thinking. Rare is the video that requires its players to make a decision two or three steps ahead of a current situation. At a constant play, players quickly learn the advantage of strategic thinking and begin to transform opportunities into actual application.

2. Video games improve problem-solving. Although the same could be any game, video games have proven in study after study to improve problem solving skills. Because most (if not centered or all) games to be a problem and then given the task of the reader to solve. In one game, a player of three percent or more different problems can be solved.

3. Video games improving hand and eye coordination. If you find this hard to believe, take a game controller and trying to maneuver around the game. Manipulating a game controller demands the same skills it takes to maneuver a mouse around a computer screen.

4. Video games facilitate quick decision making. Quality of video games that are suitable for rapid decision making, are spontaneous situations. The surprise is always around the corner and it’s exciting to play games. To win, however, mean that the drive must be capable of wise decisions in a very short time.

5. Video feed the imagination. We do not really understand the argument against things like television, video and games, where they help to use the lack of imagination, for their part of the debate. Some people argue that video games take away from the imagination, because the Spirit offers of things to come rather than promoting the spirit with these things on your own. Note that these are the same people who say they are stacking blocks, enough to push the imagination of a child. Of course, we could not agree more. The images in video games only fuels the imagination and gives him a springboard for new opportunities not otherwise encountered form in May.

6. Video games encourage exploration. Role-playing, the player must discover venture off the beaten track and discover the unknown. You must know the doors without knowing what’s behind to open. Need areas of the game without having to enter the result. And they have with the characters they have never met before to interact with. Within this particular genre of games is the ability to gather the courage to explore new avenues, not only available, it is necessary.

7. Video games enforce memorization. Another feature of video games is the strong influence on memory. The area shown in some of these games is enormous, but access to the maps can be cumbersome and disruptive to the game. To compensate, players will be remembered not only much of the site, they will remember the tasks required to access certain areas.

8. Video games teach consequence. All computer and video games, working out an action “-” response in principle. Do something, and reacting the game. This is a great way to learn about consequence - whether this opportunity to point A from the perspective of the player or an experienced programmer.

9. Video games teach patience, dedication and perseverance. No great game can be taken in one day. In fact, some of the best games and most people take weeks or months before the end.

These are some of the hidden possibilities of education in computer and video games. After some research, we are sure you will find more and more hours of fun and wonder.
